Rules of Adventure Travel was born out of one simple belief: the best stories don’t come from the things we own, but from the places we go and the people we go with. Time is not a renewable resource, and I’m here to help.
I’m Woody Rule, owner and travel advisor with Rules of Adventure Travel. After years of planning trips for my own family and friends—safaris in East Africa, beach escapes, national parks, cruises, city escapes—I realized how much joy I found in turning “We’d love to go somewhere” into “That was the best trip we’ve ever taken.” Rules of Adventure Travel grew from that passion for thoughtful, memory-making travel with the people we love.
Today, I help busy professionals, families, couples, groups, and solo travelers turn big ideas into beautifully organized, low-stress adventures. Meet Woody (Owner and Travel Advisor)
By day, I’m a healthcare professional and dad of two! By choice, I’m also the person who happily plans everyone’s trip—family, friends, coworkers, you name it. Over the years, it’s looked like African safaris, Caribbean getaways, National Park road trips, cruises, city escapes, and everything in between.
Travel has taken me (and often my family) to places like Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, India, Nicaragua, Mexico, Jamaica, Honduras, and all across the U.S. Each destination has reinforced what I believe most about travel: it’s not about collecting stamps in a passport—it’s about connection, curiosity, and the stories you bring back home.
As a busy parent myself, I know what it’s like to juggle schedules, school breaks, budgets, and big dreams. My role is to take the stress, guesswork, and endless tabs of research off your plate and turn your “someday” trip into a clear, doable, beautifully organized plan.
