About Rules of Adventure
Rules of Adventure Travel Co. was born out of one simple belief: the best stories don’t come from the things we own, but from the places we go and the people we go with.
I’m Woody Rule, owner and travel advisor with Rules of Adventure. After years of planning trips for my own family and friends—safaris in East Africa, beach escapes, national parks, cruises, city breaks—I realized how much joy I found in turning “We’d love to go somewhere” into “That was the best trip we’ve ever taken.” Rules of Adventure Travel Co. grew from that passion for thoughtful, memory-making travel with the people we love.
Today, I help busy families, couples, groups, and solo travelers turn big ideas into beautifully organized, low-stress adventures. Whether you’re thinking about a kid-friendly beach week, a multigenerational cruise, a once-in-a-lifetime safari, a bucket-list expedition, or a quick parents-only getaway, I’m here to handle the details so you can focus on being present for the moments that matter.

Support Before, During & After Your Trip
You’re never just handed a confirmation email and left on your own. I’m in your corner to answer questions, troubleshoot, and fine-tune as needed.
By day, I’m a healthcare professional and dad of two! By choice, I’m also the person who happily volunteers to plan everyone’s trip—family, friends, coworkers, you name it. Over the years, it’s looked like African safaris, Caribbean getaways, National Park road trips, cruises, city breaks, and everything in between.
Travel has taken me (and often my family) to places like Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, India, Nicaragua, Mexico, Jamaica, Honduras, and all across the U.S. Each destination has reinforced what I believe most about travel: it’s not about collecting stamps in a passport—it’s about connection, curiosity, and the stories you bring back home.
As a busy parent myself, I know what it’s like to juggle schedules, school breaks, budgets, and big dreams. My role is to take the stress, guesswork, and endless tabs of research off your plate and turn your “someday” trip into a clear, doable, beautifully organized plan.
